So, you're curious about Stacia Murphy? A very brief history of me. Born at the Jersey Shore. 1992 graduate of the H.W. Mountz Elementary School in Spring Lake, NJ. Go Tigers! Manasquan High School, class of 1996. Fordham University @ Lincoln Center, class of 2000. Y2K to now, I've devoted my career to graphic design in a variety of mediums. In my leisure time, I sew, paint Japanese sofubi toys, and design feminist propaganda (feel free to shop it above). I am also a Martha Stewart enthusiast.

• Layout new product catalogs for all merchandise; this includes photographing all products, layout out  pages, and coordinating regular updates

• Advise new corporate website for consumers: this includes product photography, branding and  styling advice, general information organization

• Responsible for consistent brand identity for 9 international and domestic brands

• Created over 25 new product packaging designs for major chain stores and garden centers per year resulting in landing key chain store accounts and increased sales across the board

• Created full spectrum of corporate identity materials such as letterhead, business cards, signage, packaging, catalogues

• Designed the new layout of the corporate website for consumers and website for retailers resulting in gaining new clients and more industry recognition due to the use of new technology

• Edit and retouch photos to modify flowers, backgrounds and packaging/displays

• In-house digital photography of products for packaging reducing the need to rely on outside photographers

• Photo shoot coordinator, scout and stylist

• Copy writing and editing for packaging, catalogs and point of purchase materials

• Sourced, negotiated and resolved issues with packaging and printing companies which helped to increase

on time delivery, reduce costs and improve the general quality of catalogs and packaging

• Coordinated with other departments and pre-press company to improve turn around times, work quality and reduce costs by diligently enforcing deadlines and making sure that all information was provided before a project was begun

• Created, managed and reduced departmental budget

• Generated significant company savings by performing all graphic design-related activities in-house

• Implemented departmental workflow system and continually updated it for efficiency; this involved implementing a system to track of all current and upcoming projects, running a weekly meeting to coordinate all graphics related projects and managing the workload with graphics assistant to meet all tight deadlines

• Member of new product development team; used knowledge of horticulture and trends to produce new products and ideas; being a member of this team also enabled me to maximize the graphics work flow

• Proposed and implemented redesign for garden center catalogs resulting in increased sales from a new, more up-to-date style

• Successfully selected and managed full time assistant and freelance graphic designers

• Responsible for graphics studio- this involved keeping IT up to date on all computer issues and software needs/updates, created a photo shoot area for product photography, maintained and ordered supplies for three printers (2 color laser and 1 wide format, maintained and ordered supplies for laminator and large format board cutting system, ordered all graphics supplies (xactos, markers, bristol, etc) and maintained an organized yet creative environment to work in.
